Hold-ups are thigh-length stockings, which can be made in a variety of yarns and denier. They usually stay in place thanks to the application of an elastic band, stitched at the top, known as a frill. The frill is supported by its own elasticity and by the application of silicone strips on the inside, which come into contact with the skin, guaranteeing that the stocking stays perfectly in place. Thanks to the latest technology, hold-ups can also support themselves without the aid of a frill, thanks to the moulding of a special silicone-coated rubber applied directly to the double top edge of the stocking.
