ABBREVIATION: Dtex. Official international unit of measure to express the weight of all yarns over a length of 10,000 metres. In the case of tights, long socks, short socks and leggings, the lower the decitex value, the more the yarn used will be fine and transparent. On the contrary, the higher the value, the heavier and thicker the tights, socks or leggings.
